Business Development Bootcamp Registration Is (almost) Live!
Over the past 3 months, Cara and I have been working hard behind the scenes to simplify 40(!!!) years of Business Development experience into a simple, clean, and repeatable process. The two of us are deeply passionate about Business Development for so many reasons. But if I think about the common thread through them all, I suppose that we feel: Relational Business Development leads to a richer life, figuratively and literally.
Business Development is how you can create your own luck. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day, btw đ
As my former boss and co-author of How Luck Happens says:
Where you spend your time is important⊠To get lucky, you have to be in a place where opportunities are going to be around you.
-Dr. Barnaby Marsh
For me personally, having a solid, consistent Business Development process has been the #1 underlying practice in my life, that’s given me the nontraditional, design-your-life career path, I’ve had. Allowed me to moved to new cities and start businesses from zero. Grown Ellevated Outcomes steadily and sustainably, each year.
Business Development is the reason why I have the ultimate freedom: working with precisely whom I want to work with, internally and externally.
It’s why Ellevated Outcomes doesn’t have even one of “those” clients. The ones who drain you financially and energetically. Can you imagine truly loving every single person you work with? And as a matter of fact: each one you bring into the fold raises the bar? Let me tell you: it’s incredible.
Some people are after financial freedom. Some people are after freedom of time. I and my colleagues are after the freedom to do fascinating work with the highest calliber of people. And my friends: that is what proactive Business Development gets you.
Hopefully, you can tell that I care about this business discipline on a visceral level. Because it’s not just about business. It’s about connection.
And when you increase the quality of your connections, you increase the quality of your life.
This is why we’re so excited to tell you that this week, we’ll be offering 3 days of registration for our spring Small Business MBA course: the Business Development Bootcamp.
The Business Development Bootcamp is for you, if you are…
- A Solopreneur or Small Business Owner. You want control and clarity of your pipeline. You’re craving a predictable and steady flow of ideal, new business.
- A Rising Leader within your business. You’re wanting to find new, business-aligned ways to add value to your role and increase your visibility inside and outside your company.
- Wanting to up-level your clientele or connections in 2024. You have a vision of your ideal clients (perhaps you’re upgrading to business class) or new connections (you want to make a job change), and need go where your new people are.
This is an MBA-style seminar/workshop, meaning…
- We will teach live in Nashville! Cara and I will present a researched and tested process. But here’s the difference in the Ellevated Outcomes way: we always ensure that our teachings are grounded in well-researched business frameworks, psychology, and numbers – and actionable in the real world, for creative small businesses.
- Weâve broken down the material into 5 crisp steps and training modules, walking you through each step methodically and so we can practice them together. You’ll receive the process, handy tips and tricks, and the practice to refine and build your confidence.
- You’ll receive worksheets, customizable templates, and walk away with a plan so that you can really gain command of the material and action it immediately.
The Business Development Bootcamp is in-person on April 25th from 10am to 4pm at The Malin in Wedgewood Houston, Nashville (the photo above is exactly where we’ll be). And please note: we’re capping registration at 25 students so that we can keep the intimacy and quality of connections at the highest caliber.
You’ll walk away with answers to…
- When will I find the time?
- How can I increase my presence and personal gravity?
- What do I say, to still feel like myself?
- How many touchpoints do I need?
- How long will it take for my efforts to pay off?
The steps we’ll teach and practice are…
- Package who you are and what you do, with confidence and clarity.
- Mind map your relationships, to gain energy and a widen your network.
- Contact your (new) network, proactively.
- Have an interesting meeting, and leave an impression that makes a mark.
- Follow-up impeccably. Consistency creates sustainability.
The bonuses this semester are in the power of connection and presence…

- New connections made during the day
As is always true in our Small Business MBA, we’re constantly listening to what our ecosystem needs. I share that to proactively say: I don’t know when we’ll be teaching this course again (and when we do, it likely won’t be in person).
So if you want to ensure participation in our first live MBA seminar/workshop, we’d love for you to join us. Even if you think you don’t need this right now, your personalized Business Development Binder will be in your possession waiting for you, when you’re ready to action it. But as always, we want to make sure that you’re making the right decision for you.
If youâre craving clarity, confidence, and control of your cashflow, we hope that you’ll join us on April 25th. We’d love to help you make more luck in 2024.
Please watch your inbox on Monday morning at 8am CDT for registration details.
