What Is Ellevated Outcomes?
Hello there and happy March!
Today, I’d like to answer a simple question that, frankly, I’ve neglected to answer since this new site launched two months ago: “What is Ellevated Outcomes?”
Pointing out that I’ve dodged the obvious, up until this point, is fair. It wasn’t an oversight, but I suppose that it’s now time to explain what’s going on around here.
When we transitioned from the Jules du Travail domain to this one back in January, my goal was for you to feel minimal disruption. Other than a cleaner design (thanks to Silver Lining Design) and a new name, I wanted you to rest assured that the quality, type, and purpose behind the weekly content would remain the same.
So now that you’re hopefully at home in my new home, I’d love to formally show you around, tell you what Ellevated Outcomes is doing with clients in Nashville, Boston, and London, and ask for your help.
Let me start with what impacts you the most, Ms./Mr. Reader…
“What’s different about the blog?”
I’m so glad you asked! From a simple naming point of view, I’m now calling it “Advice.” More substantially, there are just a couple things that will increase the site’s effectiveness for you – saving you time while getting you content you want:
1. If you have a problem that you’re trying to solve, search by topic, keyword, person, etc. (there are over 100 articles now, so let technology do the work for you). Or, if you’re in browsing mode, check out what’s hot by category.
2. Receive the precise content that you want to see.
When you subscribe (like at the bottom of this very article), Mail Chimp will take you through a couple checkboxes to confirm that it’s really you asking to be signed up. At the last check, one of the options is “Manage My Subscription.” By clicking on this hyperlink, you can elect the specific categories that interest you. This will ensure that you only receive emails when there’s a new article under a category that you like.
I’m really excited about and proud of this because I so strongly believe in an edited inbox (and life, but that’s for another day). I will never, ever force email marketing sequences upon you. As a consumer, I hate that s***. It’s a privilege to be allowed into your inbox; and therefore, I own the responsibility of making content that is as targeted and precise for you as possible.
If you’re already a subscriber, you can still update your preferences by clicking on “Update your preferences” at the bottom of the email you opened this morning.
Now for the obvious, neglected question, up until now…
“What is it that you do here?”
Here’s the digital response, but let me tell you how I answer that IRL…
“We’re a business adviser that help people take their businesses to the next level. Our favorite businesses to work with:
- Sell services.
- Practice high client intimacy.
- Have one to ten employees.
We love working with people who want to grow their business… with integrity.”
Then, you say…
“My friend/wife/colleague has been talking about that! How can I help?”
First, let me say this. There are zero intentions of turning weekly posts into sales pitches. This is precisely one of the reasons that I wanted to “soft launch” the site’s new look and feel. I wanted to assure you that the content vibe and intention behind every piece of writing remains the same: thought leadership, helping us be our most effective selves at work – whether our work is full-time parent, CEO, or three part-time jobs.
You may even say being effective = ellevating outcomes 😉
At the same time, I am never too proud to ask for help. So if you’ll allow it, my request is this: take a peek below to learn more about our target clients, process, and what outcomes look like. If there’s someone these target client descriptions remind you of, send him/her my way. (We all know someone who’s been saying for years that (s)he dreams of quitting her golden hand-cuffed gig and launching a company, don’t we?)
From here, you can put your friend, wife, colleague, or other safely in my hands for a one-to-one chat with no obligation. A prospect I had coffee with on Friday, in fact, told me that our hour long conversation, where I untangled her jumbled thoughts and fears, and handed them back in a tidy, organized vision and plan, left her feeling “at peace” already. And we haven’t even gotten to work yet!
Consults and work can be completed near or far. I love welcoming people into my Nashville office – whether it’s in real life or digitally over video call.
Lastly, I’d love to entertain any questions you have or feedback on the site in the comments below. As you know, I am alllll about test, learn, and refine. You can be expecting continuous evolution around here for the next many years to come, and I look forward to your continued support, help, and feedback. Thank you, wonderful community!
