Why Ellevated Outcomes Is a Nashville Design Week Sponsor
This week’s post comes to you from Julia Sweitzer…
As Julie and Cara wrap our Small Business MBA fall course: Close More Dream Deals, it seems only appropriate to share a look under the hood at Ellevated Outcomes’ own relational business development practices. After all, this was one of our major considerations when recently deciding whether to pursue sponsorship at Nashville Design Week.
Full disclosure: I’m a co-founder of Nashville Design Week. For that reason, I consciously tried to check my bias at the door, when presenting Julie with this opportunity (aka investment). But at the same time, I couldn’t help but see how the dear-to-my-heart Nashville Design Week community overlaps stunningly with the Ellevated Outcomes’ ecosystem and ideal client profile.
To ensure we were marrying facts (money, ROI, opportunity) with feelings (we love NDW!), we put ourselves through a rigorous decision process ,to ensure that we really understood the why, how, and “so what?” behind this opportunity with Nashville Design Week.
As a starting point, we asked ourselves: Will sponsorship…
- put our team members in exciting (to them!) and unique opportunities to engage in relational business development?
- reinforce our mission and values in an ideal physical and digital setting?
- support strategists’ personal brand profiles?
- allow for digital lead captures?
- provide unique opportunities to delight current clients?
We rated each of these questions on a scale of 1-5, with Julie’s favorite evaluation rule (no 3s). The quantified evaluation process helped to unearth the real opportunity that a partnership with Nashville Design Week could afford the team. Even more critically, it surfaced the ways in which partnership could create an enjoyable opportunity to combine community support and team fun, with relational business development.
Clearly, we’re excited about Nashville Design Week 2024. Our team will be at many events this year to learn and cheerlead; meet and reconnect with the community; and support our clients who are hosting events. More to come on those admirable, community-leading clients in next week’s post!
