Welcoming Julia Sweitzer to Ellevated Outcomes
If you are a beloved subscriber to our email list, last Sunday you received a teaser-sneak peek to some exciting Ellevated Outcomes news. Today, I am deeply pleased to announce that Julia Sweitzer has joined our team, as our newest Client Strategist.
You may remember the “hire slow” story I shared when Cara Jackson joined our team. Well, in this case Ellevated Outcomes didn’t “date” Julia for 2+ years (phew! haha). But once again, we took our time getting to know Julia – and vice versa, of course. In January 2024 Cara alerted me, “You should get to know Julia…” So we started then and there: before there was even a position to fill.
From our first call, Julia’s preparation, presence, smart questions, and genuine interest in our business impressed me. If you know her, you know that she’s the epitome of brainy, elegant, and one of my favorite things to look out for: interesting and interested.
So without further ado, please allow me to introduce our newest Strategist Julia Sweitzer…
Julia is a process and leadership communication architect, who has honed her craft in organizations of all sizes and industries, across multiple functions of the business. She’s worked in product development, to marketing, to stakeholder management.
In her early career in Washington DC, Julia learned to love spreadsheets and strategy while analyzing innovation for Fortune 100 companies. In 2016 she moved to Nashville, immersing herself in the fashion industry at the Nashville Fashion Alliance and then at VF Corporation. Driven by her love of design, in 2018 Julia jumped at the opportunity to co-found and launch Nashville Design Week (NDW).
In 2021, Julia’s leadership and entrepreneurial experience at NDW, coupled with a personal wellness journey, inspired her move to the wellness mecca of Los Angeles. There, she deeply studied human-centric organizational growth, while earning her MBA at the impressive UCLA Anderson School of Management.
During her MBA, Julia brilliantly married a few of her favorite things: applying theoretical management frameworks and operational leadership to the health and wellness industry (in stylish LA). She:
- Helped in incubating an award-winning women’s health food startup;
- Advised multiple food and wellness startup founders; and
- Helped the NDW scale to the “next gen,” using her skillset of leadership communication processes.
Julia’s love for design, wellness, process, and communication knows no bounds. Post-It notes pepper her walls (meet Tammy‘s new best work bud). In her free time she “indulges” 😉 in leadership and personal development podcasts. A perfect night is hosting a small Sweitzer Soirée dinner party or attending a design event. Otherwise, you can catch her on the backpacking trail, shooting film photography, or writing for her personal newletter, Chartreuse Muse.
Julia will be based in Boston, with her landscape architect husband and their cat. And very (very) excitedly, she will be leading Ellevated Outcomes’ geographic expansion in New England. She has a coast-to-coast network and deep understanding and love for the design, hospitality, and wellness industries that we service.
Please join me in welcoming Julia!
