Welcoming Tammy McCammon-Tracy to Ellevated Outcomes
Today, I’m excited to officially announce that we have a new member on our team. Please allow me to introduce: Tammy McCammon-Tracy, our Outcomes Champion.
If you’re wondering, “What the heck does that mean?” it’s a fair response. I describe this internal-facing role as a combination Chief of Staff x Project Manager. She’s responsible for forward-looking planning, collaboration, and coordination, so that we reach our business goals. Said another way: she’s like an internal accountability coach. But let me back up and give a little more color…
Many years ago, I worked on putting together a joint venture deal for the company I worked for, in Canada. Long story short, I was acting as an internal consultant, developing this opportunity for our company’s Canadian CEO. When the work was wrapped and the papers were signed, this CEO generously sent me a thank you note. In it, he wrote some wisdom that I’ll never forget:
People don’t realize that being a CEO is only two things: leadership and project management.
That simplification struck me deeply. While I understood the necessity of project management, I felt like is was so… unsexy. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Yes, of course leadership is a big part of a CEO’s job. But if you also must be able to practically see a problem as the sum of its parts. Then, you have to organize people to complete all the parts and sub-tasks underneath. Otherwise, there’s no business to lead.
Earlier this year, I refreshed our ten year organizational chart. And a little voice inside me said, “The team has big plans for 2021. You may need to fill this position sooner rather than later.” So many months later, voila. Alongside Tammy’s corporate experience, she’s been an Ellevated Outcomes client, so she intimately knows our culture and product. She even owns a small business herself: Evelyn’s Art. With that, please let me tell you more about Tammy…
Tammy is a corporate-minded, get-it-done professional by trade; and a small business creative, by heart. She’s a collaborator, who enjoys helping individuals, teams, and organizations meet their goals through project management and a proactive plan.
She believes that successfully achieving new outcomes requires:
- A shared mission and vision
- Communication and collaboration
- Delivery of a quality product
- Continuous improvement
Her skill set includes strategic planning, project management, change management, and organizational support. You should also know that she has a deep love for office supplies, color coding, and lists. The woman is never without a highlighter.
Tammy has two children: a son who lives in Minnesota and a daughter who lives in Nashville, along with her English Springer Spaniel Reid. She enjoys family, traveling, sports, and working on her new home.
Tammy will be (wo)manning our Instagram stories this week, so make sure to DM her and say hello!
